About the Author:

Eleanor Currie Parsons attended Farmington and the University of Maine at Orono. She was a teacher in Maine and Rockport for several years but after marriage to Rockport native, Story Parsons, her fascination with the myths, legends and history of Cape Ann lured her from teaching to writing, and she qualified as a member of the North Shore Branch of the National League of American Pen Women. Her ten published books, four in collaboration with others, include Hannah and the Hatchet Gang; Thachers Island of the Twin Lights; Nippers, Nightcaps and Needles; Rockport, the Making of a Tourist Treasure; A Town Called Drew; and Bearskin Neck. She is a member of the Sandy Bay Historical Society and the Thacher Island Association.
