Bearskin Neck, Rockport by Eleanor C. Parsons

"This is the place" said fishermen 300 hundred years ago. Their vision of protective wharves and piers for their fishing led to the building of homes and shops, and to sharing their space with artists who came to preserve on canvas the scenic beauty they found there. When a little red fish shack gained world fame as Motif #1, artists and tourists came from around the world to paint and photograph its primitive beauty. Now, with the danger of losing its historic character to the modern age, a responsibility remains to preserve its future.

Books are currently available at local bookstores.
